This subject although dark forever fascinates me and I can’t help but be sucked in by the controversy surrounding prominent celebrities or the upper echelons of society involved in this very gross and disturbing scene.
My heart forever goes out to the victims of these tragedies, the cold calculated scripts these people get into lends itself to the question, Is this just part of the human condition one succumbs to once they obtain power over others, is their something latent in the human genome that causes these acts to take hold, to engage in lewd sexual acts with kids is monstrous and an admission that evil does manifest itself in auspicious forms.
I might end up making this a running series as this topic seems to come up on regular intervals, however for now I have a list of podcasts for my fellow armchair enthusiast to partake in so that we may all at least find comfort in perspective.
Prominent Podcasts:
Psychology In Seattle Podcast (United States) – “Michael Jackson and Leaving Neverland” March 15,2019
https://www.spreaker.com/user/10958640/michael-jackson-and-leaving-neverland?utm_medium=widget&utm_source=user%3A10958640&utm_term=episode_title — Dr. Kirk Honda and Humberto discuss this latest documentary with Humberto giving personal insight into his own abuse by the hands of his teenage babysitter when he was young, detailing the parallel and similarities to the documentaries claims. Dr. Kirk Honda also gives light to the symptoms of abuse and how they manifest in sexual abuse victims from his clinical practice.
Must Watch (United Kingdom) – “Leaving Neverland feat. filmmaker Dan Reed” April 1, 2019 https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p071ljxr — Nihal has film director Dan Reed on for an interview and asks all questions I think any interviewer should take note of, he asks pointed questions that don’t come across as the ever annoying “Got’cha” Journalism.
MustWatch (United Kingdom) – “Leaving Neverland feat. Taj Jackson” April 1, 2019
https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p072rhmv — Here Nihal Arthanayake interviews the other side of the argument with the same great questions, this podcast is new one for me and my first impressions are hopeful, Taj gets tripped up on some questions here but also makes good points in defense of his uncle.
The MJCast (United Kingdom) “Episode 094 – Harrison Funk Special” January 14, 2019 – http://www.themjcast.com/ – Need to skip to the last 45 minutes of this one in preparation of the next one on the list, briefly describes the allegations from a pro MJ perspective.
The MJCast (United Kingdom) “Episode 095 – Leaving Neverland Roundtable http://www.themjcast.com/ — Here we have a pro MJ discussion on the new documentary, Taj appears on this one and they discuss strategies to defend Jackson when this documentary comes out, I found this a little odd but I guess if MJ is innocent the public opinion must be swayed as I believe whole heatedly in truth. It might be interesting to look into the guy in here that is a journalist he says he has all the proof but never offers any in this particular podcast just the same offering of “Wade testified under oath, Jordy’s case got dismissed, etc. I feel all of this seems disingenuous as you’ll see later on when referencing court documents and FBI issued reports on the subject, just keep an open mind.
The Blotter Presents (United States) (58:11) “087:Leaving Neverland and the Skye Borgman Interview” http://www.the-blotter.com/the-blotter-presents-087-leaving-neverland-and-the-skye-borgman-interview/ — This one goes over the documentary and gives opinions in discussion format, mostly Anti-MJ however I feel they give him proper respect instead of bombarding accusations and denouncing his name, later on they interview Skye Borgman and talk to her about a related documentary called “Abducted in Plain Sight”, this is somewhat relevant due to the similarities and the “grooming” theme present in both films.
Real Crime Profile (United Kingdom?) (43:24) “Episode 179 – Profiling “Leaving Neverland” https://www.realcrimeprofile.com/ — The hosts here lay down a professional basis around the idea of grooming and how this documentary is plausible and believable.
The Media Show (United Kingdom) (28:10) “Investigating Michael Jackson” — The host Amol Rajan here puts Dan Reed to a set of objective questions which I thought were well done and fair, listen to this one if you need more Dan Reed interview content.
The Bert Show (United States) (16:57) “A Child Abuse Advocate Speaks About The Michael Jackson Documentary” — A quick morning show that took a few call-ins from sexual abuse victims, decent show and presentation but no new evidence here just some context from other victims to help you get a frame of reference.
And Here is where it started to change for me…
Inside of you (United States) “Episode 39 – Macaulay Culkin”
https://insideofyoupodcast.com/episodes/macaulay-culkin — This one is from one of the other children that replaced Wade Robson and Jimmy Safechuck, don’t listen to the whole podcast unless you want to hear about the Culkin lifestyle. Skip to the end around the 1:10:00 mark to hear a first hand account of another side of Michael.
Under Oath with Rich Lomurro (United States) (1:08:11) “Famed Trial Lawyer Tom Mesereau part 1: Defending Michael Jackson in his child molestation and conspiracy trial. Tom takes us inside the case and tells some unbelievable stories about this…” http://underoathpodcast.com/famous-trial-lawyer-tom-messereua-defended-michael-jackson-in-his-child-molestation-and-conspiracy-trial-tom-takes-us-inside-the-case-and-tells-some-unbelievable-stories-about-this-famous-trial/ — Here are some first hand accounts from Michael’s lawyer from the 2005 Gavin Arvizo trial, which from what I’ve seen was a sham, anyways what is of note in this podcast in particular is Tom’s story from when he met Michael and how he stared him down like a mafioso, doesn’t sound like Michael to me.
Under Oath with Rich Lomurro (United States) (58:23) “Famed Trial Lawyer Tom Mesereau part 2: More on Defending Michael Jackson and the Bill Cosby Trial, the challenges of a #metoo era sex case.” http://underoathpodcast.com/famed-trial-lawyer-tom-mesereau-part-2-more-on-defending-michael-jackson-and-the-bill-cosby-trial-the-challenges-of-a-metoo-era-sex-case/ — Here is part two and it is more of the same, the one thing I will note is that you should take what defense lawyers say with a grain of salt, they are essentially hired to lie(defend) for their clients, with that being said he doesn’t sound off or incredible so I’ll let you be the judge.
King Jordan Radio (United States) (2:18:00) “S5E3 Scott Ross Private Investigator For The Michael Jackson Trial & More 9-15”
http://www.blogtalkradio.com/kingjordanradio/2016/09/16/s5e3-scott-ross-private-investigator-for-the-michael-jackson-trial-more-9-15 — Here we have King Jordan really start to put some doubt in my mind as he interviews the private investigator from the 2005 trial, to be completely fair this man as well as Tom Mesereau do have incentive to lie although they object to that fact multiple times in these last few podcasts. King Jordan himself is a more laid back interviewer but I feel their is lots of good evidence here to dig into even if it doesn’t pertain to the current lawsuit it is always good to get a sense of a mans background.
King Jordan Radio (United States) (1:26:00) “S5 Ep 30- Tom Mesereau talks Michael Jackson, OJ, Cosby on KingJordanRadio!”
http://www.blogtalkradio.com/kingjordanradio/2017/06/30/season-5-ep-30–tom-mesereau-talks-michael-jacksonojcosby-on-kingjordanradio — Another interview with Tom Mesereau here, this one is basically more of the same to be expected from Tom, however it is good to get a full picture from both sides of the fence, Michael is discussed in the front of the podcast and later on they discuss his latest trial with Bill Cosby.
So all in all more research will need to be done, but I think it’s safe to say that first appearances here don’t stand up to scrutiny and I will have to return at a later date with more casts and references for you fine folks. If you have anything that you think I should look into, send it my way down in the comments so I can update this story as it unfolds, it is my understanding that the Jackson crowd, the “Moonwalkers” are starting to put together some of their own documentaries so be sure to check those out when they release and,
Remember, all I offer is freedom, from what, is for you to decide…
I also listened to:
The Docs Factor Podcast (Britain?) – “Leaving Neverland – Part 1” March 7, 2019
https://docsfactor.podbean.com/e/leaving-neverland-part-1/
— I didn’t find this one to be to informative, a good listen as the hosts are thoughtful and well spoken with the caveat that they fall into the same trap of victim blaming I keep seeing as a recurring theme the more I listen. Particularly around the rings Jimmy Safechuck keeps from a mock wedding between MJ and him and they then dismiss this notion as suspicion to his credibility. My opinion is that those rings meant something at one time to a child abused and I personally still have little mementos from my comparatively orthodox childhood so I don’t see it as a huge stretch that Jimmy kept these at first as cherished presents from a former lover who he has repeatedly said he loved and later on would keep them as evidence, given the amount of backlash these two have received due to this I am not surprised around the stigma of weakness around being sexually abused by an older man going into adulthood.
Off the Mic! (United States) Leaving Neverland is full of Sh*T! Michael Jackson is Innocent! March 26, 2019
— The host here has not watched the documentary yet comments on it with authority proposing Michael is innocent, I would skip this listen unless you need to hear biased testimony backed by nothing more than emotion.
The Niall Boylan Show (United Kingdom) “Leaving Neverland – Do you believe the two men accusing Michael Jackson of abuse?” March 28, 2019
— This one here is on the MJ camp side, again he didn’t watch the documentary yet reports with impunity that Wade and Jimmy are both in it for money, no new evidence just opinion here.
Moonwalk Talks (United States) “Episode 16 – #TheRealMJ”
— The host Jankins here talks about a scandal that happened sometime last year sort of related yet not completely, the scandal in question is about some “disturbing” photos found at NeverLand Ranch during the FBI search. Jankins debunks this and I haven’t looked further into it personally as it didn’t pertain to this article but I have no reason not to believe him, have a listen if you need a closer look at how Michael gets hit with false accusations sometimes.
The Bill Leff and Wendy Synder Podcast (United States) (15:15) “Dr. John Duffy weighs in on the dangers of online games and the “Leaving Neverland” documentary”
— This one doesn’t offer much information just thoughts and opinions, the Jackson stuff starts about half way through.
Conspiracy Unlimited (United States?) (51:17) “193 LEAVING NEVERLAND: THE DARK SIDE OF MICHAEL JACKSON”
— Richard has guest Michael Jacobshagen on his show to discuss his new book about Michael and their relationship when he was a kid, I don’t know how to feel about this one as it didn’t seem very credible but I will admit I have not done any research into either of the two men on here, if you are looking for fringe information about the late singer this might be one to check out but I would otherwise stay away.
Totally Spoiled Podcast (United States?) (38:12) “A Mom’s Perspective On “Leaving Neverland”, & Someone Who Met Michael Jackson | TSP 51″
— This podcast I thought was really entertaining if you are like me and like to hear people’s opinions and both hosts are very enjoyable, however I left it down here because besides the caller saying he met Michael once briefly and had a good opinion on him there is not any new information here to consume.
The Real Housewife of the Westside (United States?) (1:38:53) “CHAPTER 15 – LEAVING NEVERLAND PART I with Sarah Guage”
— Sarah and the host discuss the documentary and give their thoughts, this isn’t anti-MJ however it is not pro as well, they have watched the documentary and have similar responses to most viewers.
The OnStage Blog Network (United States?) (57:56) “Desperately Seeking Entertainment Ep #1 – The Oscars and ‘Leaving Neverland’
— Another one just discussing current events and the documentary about half way through, good podcast overall and I thought the hosts were likeable besides the one saying he thought ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ was a “hunk of garbage”. I Liked that film.
The Cover to Cover Podcast with Chris Franjola (United States) (56:33) “Ep 14: Leaving Neverland and The Bachelor”
— Another good host and commentary but again nothing new in terms of evidence is offered, and that is unfortunately what I am looking for.
Uncovered with Dr. Laura Berman: Highlights (United States) (18:40) “THE IMPACT OF LEAVING NEVERLAND – TOO RISQUE FOR RADIO”
— This one has a little more insight to offer as she details what abuse victims go through and how that lines up with Wade’s and Jimmy’s allegations.
